Ocean Partnership for Children,
Inc. (OPC) is the Ocean County Care Management Organization authorized
by the Division of Child Behavioral Health Systems within the New Jersey
Office of Children's Services. OPC is one of several components of the
local system of care in Ocean County designed to serve children living
with behavioral and emotional challenges.
Ocean Partnership for Children works in
conjunction with its system partners as well as the Division of Youth
and Family Services (DYFS)
who is responsible
for the safety, permanency and well-being of children. The CMO also
supports the rehabilitative efforts of children referred from the
Juvenile Justice
Commission (JJC), the State authority responsible for the care and
supervision of children charged with offenses.
Other local organizations that families
may work with include:
PerformCare, the Contract Systems Administrator
(CSA) who is responsible for referring children to one of the various
levels of care. When
a child has behavioral or emotional challenges and a family needs
a direction to
turn for help, they should be directed to PerformCare. Parents,
family members, school employees, mental health providers and
other professionals
helping children and families may contact PerformCare on behalf
of a child or adolescent in need of a referral.

challenges. The FSO
helps ensure that the system remains family-friendly and responsive
to the needs of children. The FSO provides peer support, education
